Discarding the old myth of Korean design
and creating a new one
What is design in Korean society? The author came to realize the emergence of a new cognitive framework and new age of design while observing recent changes in the Korean design world. In order to live in the new age, we should figure out why this reality was created for us. Choi calls the origin of today’s condition a “myth,” which he explores to reveal what has made Korean design as it is and in what direction we should move forward.
