Graduated with a primary major in English Education from Korea University. After completing military service and returning to school, he explored new fields and entered the world of design. Discovering an unexpected aptitude for it, he pursued Industrial Information Design as a second major and went on to earn a master’s degree from the same university. Currently, he runs the design company YOUNGLAB, participating in design projects for startups, SMEs, and large corporations domestically and internationally. He also creates content that integrates design and technology, such as smart lamps and figures. Recently, he has been actively involved as a mentor in various creative programs run by institutions like the Korea Creative Content Agency and Jeonbuk Content Korea Lab, supporting creative endeavors and startups. As a designer, creator, and supporter of aspiring designers, all of his activities converge on the core of design. With this in mind, he continues to dedicate himself to design every day.

한국전통문화대학교를 졸업한 후 전통 회화의 재료학적 기법 연구와 지류 문화재 보존을 심도 있게 연구하기 위해 일본으로 유학을 가 도쿄예술대학원 문화재보존학 석박사 학위를 취득하였다. 일본에서 다수의 회화 문화재 복원 모사 및 수리 작업의 연구원으로 활동했으며, 한국에 귀국한 후 객원 연구원으로서 회화 문화재의 복원 모사 사업에 참여했다. 장황에 대한 새로운 접근을 시도하고자 권민성과 함께 2022년 SOKO 장황 스튜디오를 설립했다. 장황이 지류 문화재의 보존 처리와 작품을 표장하는 것에 국한되지 않고 하나의 독립된 공예로 분류되길 바라며 장황을 기반으로 한 다양한 디자인 작업을 진행한다. 현재 SOKO 공동 대표로 활동하고 있으며, 후시카솔 스튜디오 및 전통문화교육원 전통문화사화교육과정에서 모사(전통 회화) 강의를 병행하고 있다. -

시각 문해력 분야의 선구자이자 시각 커뮤니케이션 교육자로 활동한 디자이너. 시각 커뮤니케이션의 기본 원리를 하나의 언어처럼 배우고 이해해야 한다고 주장하며 시각 문해력을 정립했고 이를 가르치는 교육 과정을 설계하고 확산시켰다. 시카고대학교를 졸업한 후 보스턴대학교 커뮤니케이션아트학부에서 조교수 및 기획자로 활동했다. 디자인과 디자인 교육에 공헌한 인물로 매사추세츠예술디자인대학은 그의 이름을 딴 ‘도니스 A. 돈디스 트래블 펠로우십Donis A.
