The Journey of Arita captures the 16-year journey behind the creation of the Arita typeface, a collaboration between Korea’s leading cosmetics company, Amorepacific, and 15 font designers, including the renowned graphic designer Ahn Sang-soo. It covers the entire design process, shows examples of the typeface in use, and includes interviews with the 14 designers who contributed to each version of the font. Amorepacific Corporation is a South Korean beauty and cosmetics chaebol, operating more than 30 beauty, personal care, and health brands. The firm was founded in 1945 by Sungwhan Suh and currently managed by Kyungbae Suh, the son of the founder. It is the largest cosmetics company in South Korea and one of the 10 largest cosmetics companies in the world.
