Since his first solo exhibition Steel Sun in 2000, she has been working with contemporary artists, exhibition curators, and media sociologists to co-organize and research new artistic activities in a media-connected society, such as Art Practice through Hacking (2001) and Parasite-Tactical Media Networks (2004-2006). While organizing and executing these activities, he has also executed various projects such as Dramatic Practice (2010), Co-operative Escape (2010), Twinfix (2011), In My Sky at Sunset (2015), Letter from the Netherworld (2018), and Untitled (2020) to pose intimate aesthetic questions to examine the diverse and extraordinary events and situations of contemporary society that are differentiated from previous societies. He has participated in major curatorial exhibitions such as ‘Korean Video Art 7090 Time Image Device’ (National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, 2019), Boundaries(Kunstraum Kreuzberg Betanien, 2018), Multiple Time(Nam June Paik Art Center, 2016), Gwangju Biennale 20th Anniversary Special Exhibition (5.18 Democracy Square, 2014), The Future is Now(National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, 2013), and Bad Kids Now/Here (Gyeonggi Museum of Art, 2009). He was invited to Seonggok Museum of Art in 2015 to hold a solo exhibition, In My Sky at Sunset (2015), to commemorate the 2013 Seonggok Tomorrow’s Artist Award, and has recently participated in the Kunstlerhaus Bettinaen Artist Residency (Berlin, 2017), Bilbao Arte Artist Residency (Bilbao, 2018), and Glenfiddich Artist in Residence (Dufftown, Scotland).
