Naka Toshiharu

Born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1976. Graduated from the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, The University of Tokyo in 1999, and completed a Master’s degree in Architecture at the Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo in 2001. After working at Riken Yamamoto & Field Shop, he established Naka Architecture Studio in 2009. Served as a design assistant at Y-GSA, Yokohama National University Graduate School from 2009 to 2011. Received the Young Architect Award from the Architectural Institute of Japan in 2016. Since 2018, he has been a visiting researcher at the Hosei University Edo-Tokyo Center.

His major publications include Local Community Area Principles(地域社会圏主義, co-authored, LIXIL Publishing), Beyond Housing(脱住宅, co-authored, Heibonsha), and Two Cycles(２つの循環, LIXIL Publishing).

Jeongrye Park

John Hill

John Hill is an architect, freelance writer and editor, and published author. He grew up in Chicago, went to architecture school in Kansas, and then moved to New York City after working at an architecture firm in Chicago for ten years. Since the move to NYC in 2006 he has written seven books on architecture. The latest, Buildings in Print , surveys 100 seminal architecture books published since Le Corbusier’s Towards a New Architecture .
Sung Sang-woo

Graduated from Waseda University, Department of Architecture. After working at several design offices, he founded a0100z space design with his life partner in 2009. Currently, he is building a series of houses called ‘House with a Worn Threshold’ and ‘Together’, and runs Jeongchu Seodang in Yongsu Village, Yongin, where he talks about humanities and gives a lecture on humanities architecture called ‘House is Meaning’.
