Dreaming of Architecture: Tadao Ando on Life, Dreams, and Architecture

From a young age, Ando Tadao traveled the world, exploring architectural masterpieces and cities. He was struck by the unique lifestyles of different regions and moved by the dreams expressed through architecture. Perhaps it was this profound inspiration that led him to pursue life as an architect.

In Dreaming of Architecture, Ando shares his journey through the world of architecture, delving into the dreams embedded in the buildings and cities he encountered. He reflects on how these dreams connect with our present lives and emphasizes the depth and meaning of architecture as a discipline.

Through Ando’s eyes, dreams are not solely his own as an architect but represent the collective aspirations of society. This book invites readers to reflect on the profound relationship between architecture, human dreams, and the world we create together.
