Kim Jin-woo

김진우

Professor at Konkuk University College of Design in Chungju, South Korea. Since 2004, he has been meeting with students in the ‘Interior Design Studio’ and ‘Furniture Design’ courses. He received his PhD from Hongik University College of Fine Arts and has published numerous papers and works related to furniture design. While thinking about how to connect the expertise he has accumulated with the life of this era, he challenged himself to write a book that is read by the public rather than a thesis. Since April 2015, he has been contributing his talents as a bi-weekly column to CROSS in Chungju, Korea, and has also contributed to various media such as the bi-monthly educational magazine Mindeulle, Korean Air’s in-flight magazine Beyond, and the daily newspaper *Hankyoreh. She wants to write healthily and happily and hopes to connect with others through her writing.

Kang Ye-jin

She studied journalism at Yonsei University and worked in marketing and public relations in the corporate world. While pursuing her master’s program in arts management at Carnegie Mellon University, she worked for the public art team at Pittsburgh City Hall and later worked as a design strategy manager in the corporate world. Jo Eun-ji

Studied Interaction Design at Delft University of Technology (Technische Universiteit Delft) in the Netherlands and Service Design and Design for Social Innovation at Politecnico di Milano in Italy. She earned her Ph.D. under the supervision of Ezio Manzini at Politecnico di Milano. Since 2014, she has been working as an assistant professor in the Department of Design at Hunan University in China.
Kim Hyun-ho

Editorial director of VOSTOK magazine and head of VOSTOK PRESS. He is the editor of various publications and the director of PLATFORM-P. He has worked as the chief editor of the design journal Yanggwibi , editor-in-chief of the Seoul National University Press and Culture Center, and a member of the planning committee of the School of Photographic Theory and the bimonthly magazine Wordnbow , and received the Art in Culture New Vision Art Criticism Award.
Fujimori Terunobu

Fujimori Terunobu is a Japanese architect and architectural historian. He studied at Tōhoku University before entering graduate school at the University of Tokyo. Whilst writing his thesis in the 1970s Fujimori formed the Architecture Detectives. In this group he and his colleagues searched the city to find and photograph early Western-style buildings. Jennifer Tobias

Jennifer Tobias is a scholar andillustrator. She holds a PhD in Art History from the City University of NewYork, an MLS from Rutgers, and a BFA from Cooper Union. She provided reader services at the Museum of Modern Art and Parsons School of Design libraries. Kim Tae-il

Professor at Jeju National University, School of Architecture. He graduated from Dong-A University and earned his master’s and doctoral degrees from Kyoto University in Japan. Jo Kim

Graphic designer. He majored in communication design at Hongik University, earned a master’s degree from Yale University and a PhD from Hongik University. He is the co-author of the A Dictionary of Typography published by Angraphics in 2012, published “Technical Problems in Multilingual Typography” (2016), and designed typefaces such as “Bemby” in 2017 and “Glyphs Sans” in 2018. Jang Hun-gyo

A full-time researcher at the Research Center for Common Resources and Sustainable Society at Jeju National University. She dreams of running a small research institute under the name Democracy for All. She is the author of The Miryang War: A Radical Democracy Project Based on Common Resources and is currently working on her next book.
