Park Chang-hyun

박창현

Based in Seoul, this architect designs architecture, spaces, and furniture. In 2013, they founded AROUND Architects, focusing on the social perspective of architecture. Their work spatially proposes connections between people in shared spaces and between buildings to foster neighborhood connectivity.

Recent completed projects include the Third Place series of multi-family housing and the Jeongbalsan House. From 2002 to 2018, they taught architecture at Kyonggi University and Korea University. Since 2013, they have been mapping the architectural field through interviews with over 80 architects and the Language and Form seminar series.

AROUND Architects has received numerous awards, including the Seoul Architecture Award (2013), the Kim Swoo Geun Preview Architecture Award (2014), the German ICONIC Award (2019), and the Japan Good Design Award (2020, 2024).
