How to Conduct Research and Write Successful Theses
Writing a thesis involves presenting the results of one’s research in the form of original, objectively valid, and reproducible knowledge. No matter how outstanding the research is, its excellence cannot be conveyed unless the outcomes are described in writing. For that reason, thesis writing is of paramount importance. Six professors of design studies with extensive experience of supervising research theses have put together a guide to conducting research and writing theses for those studying for master’s and doctoral degrees. This book introduces different types and characteristics of design research along with some case studies, and provides useful advice on how to write up research results.
